"Jæra boligområde" (5 of 5)
Description
The two one-storied houses which frame in the lower section of the park, were built as family residences for the "supervisory men", and had slightly higher standards than the workers' housing. The buildings were vertically divided, with two families living in each house. Each family had roughly 72 square metres at their disposal - three rooms along with a large kitchen. This was also a prefabricated house made of planks. These planks could be a part of a wall or floor, ready with panelling or something else on the outside and inside surface. The illustrations are marked with the company name A/S Norsk Husbygningskompani.
