"Glomfjord kraftstasjon" (3 of 6)
Description
The detailing is simple, with a tall pedestal and a narrow cornice band made of hewn reddish granite. Only on the longest wing, which houses the machinery hall, are the walls designed with a relief effect. Here one finds tall rounded arches on the wall plane. These arches contain the large, stately windows, which also terminate in a rounded arch. All of the roofs were previously covered with slate. Today they are partly covered with roofing felt, yet there is current discussion about reverting back to slate again.
