Most of the trestles were built of logs and other wooden components. They were assembled on site and erected using steel cables. The height of the trestles varies according to their position in the landscape. They were built using simple technology and, in common with the Aerial Ropeway Junction Building, they are an example of outstanding engineering skills. The undulating line of trestles and counterweights makes a strong visual impact in Adventdalen.
