Description

A wide gentle slope leads from the pedestrianized street up to the church's main entrance. The last stretch up to the door is a bridge from which one can also look down into the space between the first and second round of the spiral and the entrance to the church offices. The space just in front of a church entrance is traditionally an important meeting place in Norway and it has its own name "kirkebakke" which doesn't have direct equivalent in the English language.
