"Blokkebærgrenda" (4 of 5)
Description
All the houses in Blokkebærgrenda have certain features in common such as the same width (approx. 7m), the same 35 degrees pitch of the roof, horizontal wooden cladding and local stone slate roofs. The height varies between one and a half and two stories and many houses have an inserted mezzanine under the steep sloping ceilings. There is also a variety of porches, balconies and windows. In addition, the development has an agreed colour scheme with external walls painted in warm tones of red and yellow. In spite of what may seem to be many limitations the owners have had great freedom in shaping their individual homes.
