"Utdanningssenter ved Setermoen leir" (3 of 5)
Description
In 2003 the architects Borealis Arkitekter AS won the competition for the new training centre at Setermoen Camp. The purpose was to develop a new physical structure that would amalgamate five different camps into one. This was part of an effort to rationalize and increase effectivity within the Norwegian Army's Northern Brigade in the inner regions of the county Troms. The winning proposal included offices, teaching facilities and garages. Living quarters for officers and privates were located away from the training centre to avoid disturbances from vehicles, local training practices and transport to and from the artillery range.
