"Kaarbøgården" (3 of 5)
Description
The main building has a painstakingly made and nicely designed portal. Typical are the columns which flank the entrance door and the projecting decorative crown with rich mouldings. Here are elements from Greek and Roman architecture from Antiquity, that has travelled north through Europe and the centuries. The double entrance door with a rectangular top window was also common during the first half of the 19th century, and modern again around 1920 with the Neo-classical style.
