"Storgaten 1 og Torget 3" (3 of 3)
Description
Torget 3 is a business premise made of brick. It was designed by the Trondheim architect Johann Osness who was particularly known for his Jugendstil buildings. This building also has apparent Jugendstil features with some Classical elements. It is a three-storied brick building, with a loft and mansard roof that has a steep lower side. On the building's façade that faces towards the town square there are oriel windows capped with dormers. An entrance is positioned on the bevelled corner that faces towards the street Storgaten. This entrance faces equally towards the street Storgaten and the town square. This neutralises the fact that the façade facing towards the town square has a more plastic design, compared to the oriel windows and the dormers.
