At Kirkely the viewing platform is an attraction in its own right with seating and splendid views over the church and fjord. It's surrounded by slatted wooden railings, which also contribute to marking its place in the cultural landscape. The railings serve further purposes such as structural support for the platform and holding the seating and information boards.
