Description

This house is called "Finnesstua" as it was moved here from Finnes on Kvaløya. However, it stood on the farm Sandnes on the island Tromsøya (where the airport is today). It had been used for accommodation and also as an office for the "sorenskriver" (a civil servant with responsibility to the courts) during the years that the official resided at Sandnes. The building has one main room with sleeping space in the attic and a lobby. The main room has log walls and the lobby has a timber frame with external cladding. The house has two small rococo style windows and an entrance door with herringbone pattern.
