Each group of children has its own base overlooking the outdoor play area and the groups share wardrobes and exits, which are recessed for weather protection.

The size of the day nursery is approximately 1160 m2 and it is built to Passive House standards. It was Tromsø City Council's first such project. The building is designed to be universally accessible and equipped for children of all abilities.
