"Kaldslett gård" (2 of 7)
Description
According to family tradition the southern end of the house came from Helgeland. The two storey log construction, containing living room, entrance lobby and kitchen, was transported by boat and re-erected at Kaldslett. The northern end was added locally and thereby the building got a traditional footprint with a central entrance axis. The whole house was given windows with small panes and vertical cladding as was the custom during the first half of the 19th century.
