"Kirkegårdsveiens nedre del - villaer" (3 of 9)
Description
"Villa Hoheluft" was built in 1890 as residence for the Jebens family. Theodor Jebens came from Altona, where Hoheluft is a district. The story goes that the octagonal corner extension with the pyramid roof was added on for the event of one of the German emperor Wilhelm II's visits to Tromsø. The building is now called "Bikuben" (the bee hive) and is owned by Tromsø Workers' Association. It is a popular venue for receptions and meetings.
