The main entrance and stairwell are situated in the building's northwest corner. The stairs, which are flooded in daylight from large east-facing windows, are built in reinforced concrete covered with terrazzo, and slate is used in the areas most used by the public. Towards Vestregata the headmaster's office and the staff room as well as the student accommodation were located on the two upper floors, organized along central corridors with communal toilets, showers and bathrooms. From Vestregata there is also a covered entrance to the courtyard. When the school building went into private ownership, it was converted into offices.
