The main entrance to the town hall opens onto a spacious foyer, or hall, which extends into five stories. The foyer's access gallery, wide footbridges, meeting places and open staircase, provides a general perspective of the diverse functions of the town hall. The entrance level includes a reception area, service area and canteen that is open to the general public. The glass wall towards the north opens onto the town square, the music pavilion and the old town hall (Rådstua).
