The church has a gallery in both of the cross arms, together with an organ gallery. Each gallery has painted panelling, mostly executed in the period from 1923-1925, by the Tromsø painter Normann Bakkehaug (1904-1936). The organ gallery is primarily decorated with motifs inspired by the sea. Some scenes are Biblical, for example, Jesus silencing the storm. Others are more everyday, such as a boat at sea, in the midst of an Arctic storm.
