Before the building was erected, research was performed on climate using models, in regards to snow and wind conditions. The results had large significance, both in terms of form and details of the building. For one, the ceiling is rounded in order to reduce wind resistance. Shelter was also taken into consideration with the design and positioning of the outdoor sitting areas. This illustration was taken from Ferdigmelding 399/1992.
