The university campus is located roughly 3 kilometres north of the Tromsø town centre. The Science District was the first building erected in the University of Tromsø campus in Breivika. A number of different faculties are located here, such as the Mathematics-Natural Sciences Faculty, the Norwegian Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture, the Department of Pharmacy and the Norwegian College of Fishery Science.
