"Hytte i Skarsfjorden" (5 of 6)
Description
The central view is west-facing and overlooks a landscape composed of islands, the open sea and the midnight sun. This landscape is enjoyed through the large planes of glass that are positioned to provide a 180 degree perspective. In terms of details, emphasis was focused on avoiding interfering elements. Therefore all of the glass is directly installed into the construction, rather than use of moulding. The interior walls and ceiling are adorned with lacquered birch plywood, and the floor is covered in black linoleum. The kitchen interior and beds are also made of birch plywood.
