Kongsbakken Upper Secondary School is a brick building, built of bricks that have been plastered on the exterior and clad on the interior. The middle section is notably well designed and detailed, this is also emphasised through the use of colour. The walls themselves have a terracotta colour, while the pedestal, pilasters and moulding in the gable section have a light creamy gold colour.
