Description

The old farmhouse contained the cowshed, stalls, barn, laundry and loo. During the 1970s the Tromsø Arts and Crafts Association hired the building. With the help of the Historical Monuments Association and the Norwegian Cultural Association, the building was repaired for business use. The building's exterior was preserved, while the interior was reconstructed. The old 5-seated loo was not destroyed, and today is preserved as a rarity. A two-storied building terminates the property as it does towards the street Søndre Tollbodgate. It was used as a shopping premise, but was sold to IOGT and functions today as an assembly hall. The house has undergone façade changes, but its original size and form still remain intact.
