Description

This richly detailed Swiss chalet style villa is now surrounded by a spacious garden in a neighborhood with mainly large detached houses. It was originally built as a farmhouse on a small farm outside town towards the end of the 19th century. The property remained a working farm with several other buildings until the 1950s. The last of the other farm buildings was demolished around 1990.

The facade facing the street is strictly symmetrical with many features typical the Swiss chalet style such as great width
high ceilings
steep gabled slate roof with deep eaves
richly detailed verandas and balconies
cross windows and paneled lower wall below the ground floor windows.
