Landegode Light Station is situated on Eggløysa, an islet just north of the island Landegode. The lighthouse signals the northern approach to Bodø and has done so since 1902. The cast iron lighthouse tower is 29 m tall and red with two white bands. an outbuilding (barn) and a former smithy. There's also a garden and two boathouses with landings. The lighthouse is a cast iron construction while all the other buildings are built in wood with pitched roofs. All have been renovated with modern facilities, but the exteriors have retained their original character.

In 1998 Landegode Light Station was given protected status in accordance with the Norwegian Cultural Heritage Act. The listing includes the lighthouse, the keepers' cottages, the outbuilding, the machine shed and the two boathouses.
