"Langenes kirke" (1 of 7)
Description
The small white Langenes Church is situated next to the remains of the old abandoned fishing village with the same name. The church and the cemetery are surrounded by drystone walls and the small “kirkestue/dåpsstue” (today used by families bringing babies for christening) stands nearby. The footprint is a cruciform. The nave and the chancel are both taller than the transepts and thereby underline the length of the building. Above the crossings sits a square turret with a tall slim spire.
