Description

Halvdans gate 4 is located on the east facing slope just above the centre of Harstad with good views over the Vågsfjorden and in a predominantly residential neighbourhood. The house has one and a half storey and many details typical for the later period of the Swiss chalet style. The elevations are asymmetrical. The south side has an unusual two storey bay window and there is a wide protruding gable to the east. The wooden house sits on top of white rendered basement walls. The predominantly horizontal cladding is red and many details are highlighted in a contrasting green. The slate roof is steep and pitched.
