Steilneset minnested (Steilneset Memorial)

Steilneset, Vardø
Steilneste Memorial is situated close to the shore of the windswept barren land south of Vardøhus Fortress and southwest of Vardø town centre. The memorial consists of two parts: a 125m long structure on piles and a black glass cube. It is built to commemorate the 91 people who died during the local witch-hunts of the 17th century.
