"Alsvåg hovedgård" (5 of 10)
Description
The dining room features walls divided by wainscoting and simple pilasters, with the window and door frames integrated into this design. The wainscoting includes inset panels. This reflects the simple and strict style of the Empire period and was most likely implemented in this room around the mid-19th century.
The oldest part of the building may date back to the latter half of the 17th century, specifically the central section of the house. The floor in the dining room was replaced in 1954, revealing that the room originally had an earthen floor, and the hearth with charcoal remains was still visible in one corner.
