Description

In the 2000s, the rectory garden is divided into two parts: an inner section that belongs to the rectory residence, and an outer section with trees, shrubs, and "wilderness" – part of the Cultural Heritage Park at Hadsel and the "Footsteps towards the North" project. Paths are mowed with a lawn mower, making it possible to navigate through the wilderness, which includes raspberries, fireweed, Tromsø palm, and Japanese knotweed. Just under 20 perennial species have survived here, including the rare pink helmet flower and yellow-white wolf's bane.
