"Børselvfjellet vegmiljø" (1 of 3)
Description
The Børselvfjellet road heritage site is a typical Finnmark mountain pass. The vegetation is generally sparse, but in valleys and geological depressions birches and heathers will grow.
There are two roads side by side in this section that illustrate Norwegian road building techniques around 1940 and 1980. The oldest road follows the contour of the terrain whilst the new road is elevated above it.
