Salangsverket expanded very rapidly and during a period of only three years the following installations were completed: a power station, a quay with two large electrical cranes, an ore crushing mill, a grinding and separation plant, a pelletizing plant, workshops and coal stores as well as housing for the different groups of employees who were brought in from far a field. Most of the production buildings were made of site cast reinforced concrete and steel. From a local point of view the Salangsverket plant was a huge undertaking.
