Description
Haraldvollen school camp is situated on a river plain at Målselva, about five kilometres north of Bardufoss. The vegetation around consists of pine and birch woods, and the climate is a typical inland climate with little wind. The site consists today of 11 buildings - nine cabins with overnight accommodation and a main building with classrooms, kitchen and dining room, as well as a large building used for meetings, teaching and hospitality, which also contains a sauna.
All the buildings are made of wood with pronounced features, topped off with a gabled roof. The buildings are clad externally using horizontal panelling with unfinished edges. All the wood material has been cut from målselv pine. The site has a friendly atmosphere, with most of the buildings single-storied, and they are organized to form small courtyards.
