"Lenvik rådhus og kulturhus" (2 of 5)
Description
The five storey council hall has a mainly rectangular footprint and on the disciplined elevations have a horizontal emphasis with continuous rows of windows which combined with the stripes of wall between them create a layered expression.
The ground floor walls are set back and a row of concrete pillars creates a colonnade. On the building's south side the central part of the wall has been brought forward and this enhances the impression of layering. The top floor is also set back and thereby creates room for a roof terrace along most of the building.
