The door handle to the main door has been formed by the architect as a "narrow dog-collar made of nickel silver". Knut Hamsun's novel Sult (Hunger, 1890) tells how "A large brown dog sprang across the garden, towards the grove and down to the Tivoli
it had a fairly narrow collar made of nickel silver".
