Description
The outbuilding was built in 1950 and is most likely a replacement. Such buildings would typically contain a wood store and privies for boys, girls and the teacher's family.
Fygle School was also used for other purposes than education. Before 1963 what is now the municipality of Vestvågøy consisted of four district councils: Borge, Buksnes, Valberg and Hol. From 1919 to 1963 Fygle School was the meeting place for Hol District Council.
