Description

Vensmoen was established like a large farm complex. In addition to the actual sanatorium building, there were many other buildings for various purposes. Several of these buildings were arranged so that they formed a large yard on the north side of the main complex. Some of the buildings from the first period still remain standing, such as the storehouse on pillars and the joiner's workshop, which can be seen in the photograph. Several of the residences that belonged to the original complex are gone, but other buildings have been built in conjunction with the changing demands.
