Description

The dower house, storehouse and former laundry make one side of the courtyard. The dower house is sometimes called "the old house" or "Mother Lyng's house" named after the locally well-known Ovedia Lyng. It was probably built during the first half of the 19th century. It's a two storey log house with white vertical external wooden cladding. The south elevation facing the courtyard is symmetrical about the main entrance which has a double door and a transom window. The building's windows have mainly double casements with small window panes and are placed quite close together. The pitched roof has red pantiles.

The storehouse' entrance is on its south side facing the main residence. It is a one and a half storey log building on piles resting on drystone walls. The walls have vertical cladding and two windows with double casements and small window panes. The pitched pantile roof has a turret with a bell at the eastern end.
