The cultural centre's foyer is a public space that is visually connected to Strandgata and the harbour. The large windows and the skylights also keep the visitors connected to the surroundings and up to date on the external climatic conditions. There is a cafe and a kiosk as well as box office and cloakrooms and, of course, access to all the public functions. The artist Marius Marthinussen's work "Stråler" (rays) from 2009 is integrated into the surface of the foyer's long walls.
