The newer boathouses are not all consequently orientated with the gable facing towards the sea, but all of them have entrances on the gable. There are also variations in methods of construction, roofing and use of colour. However most of them are painted red. The form and size of the structures separates the newer ones from the older structures. Nonetheless this row of boathouses stands harmoniously even with variations in form.
