Description

From the pumping station/pump house, salt water is pumped to the steam centre, where it is used as cold water for the condensers. The pumping station has a rectangular layout and the building is divided into two spaces of different sizes that are linked together by a small building in between. The station is built of concrete, and both the main spaces are finished off with a gently arching roof.

A characteristic of several of the buildings designed by the architect Bruskeland linked to this site are the vertical windows divided up into smaller panes, like these ones on the southeastern side of the pumping station.
