The boathouse buildings in Mosjøen have an irregular quality - there is a variation of warehouses (storehouses), storage sheds and boathouses - large and small buildings. One may notice the numerous gable ends facing the sea, these stand in contrast to the large trading warehouses which are situated with the long side facing the sea. The warehouses stand on piles in the sea and the exterior construction is both cogging jointed timber - and half-timbered framework. Elnan. It is currently an exhibition gallery for the Vefsn Museum. Here the history of Sjøgata is presented, along with the growth and development of Mosjøen from a beach settlement into a town.
