The west wing houses the museum's administration: the offices, library and lunchroom can be found side by side along a long corridor with storerooms in the basement. In contrast to the exhibition wing the external walls have black stained horizontal pine cladding. The modular structure of 2.4 m is shown in the elevation by protruding vertical pieces of wood. The casements of opening windows have been painted red.
