The Sámiland Centre is centrally located in Karasjok - in connection with the Karasjok Hotel and Inn. The centre forms an arch that encircles a market square, opening onto it with large glass planes and doors that face the square. It is a one-storied building and terminates in the south with an auditorium, which in terms of form is reminiscent of a Sámi tent. A baldachin runs alongside the entire length of the building, uniting the building and the square. Due to its curved form, the baldachin reinforces the arched shape of the building so that the entire complex appears to be one single form. To a large extent pine wood was used as the chief constructive element, both on the interior and exterior planes. Reflective aluminium and zinc cover the roofs.
