Inside the Large Tuft Hut the atmosphere during meal times is different than in the hotel's dining hall. Sod, wood, stone and leather along with the open flames in the fireplaces create a very unique atmosphere. This turf hut is a modern version of the traditional Sámi turf huts, which could also be built together and contain multiple functions. This modern version illustrates the natural materials associated with the Sámi - but the method of construction is adapted to current day and contemporary use.
