"Fjærtoftbruket" (5 of 5)
Description
The large storehouse, Storbrygga, has a 25m x 12m footprint, three full height storeys and two attic floors. The foundations rest both on the quay and rock. The construction is timber posts and beams. Trusses, rough boards and corrugated fiber cement sheets make up the roof. Horizontal wooden cladding covers the external walls. Most windows have two casements with 2 or 3 panes, however, on the ground floor some have been replaced with single casements with just one pane. Doors and gates are ledged and braced. On the north side of the building there is a drivable ramp leading up to the first floor. The storehouse rooms are large and open, some with internal painted wooden cladding, others none. Stairs built on site run between the floors.
