The town hall itself has a simple design. This cubic building shell is three-storied and is terminated with a flat roof that is bent on all sides. It appears almost like a slate covered cornice, or lower portion of a pyramidal roof. Facing the harbour towards the north, on the top storey, is a small gable adorned with the municipality's coat of arms and a balcony. This is an element which emphasises the building's official character. The simple balcony is projecting and has an open metal railing - in accordance with the modernist tradition.
