"Vadsø bibliotek" (3 of 3)
Description
The main section houses the public areas and book collection. This area has a two-storied ceiling, which is curved in form, mirroring the form of the roof. The vastly windowed areas provide an ample amount of daylight during the lighter parts of the year.
The building is adorned with artworks by Fritz Røed (ceramic works, originally made for the children's section of the Vadsø Library in 1964), Silja Skoglund (glass art) and Inger Blix Kvammen (metal art). In this photo part of one adornment piece can be vaguely seen on the wall in the background.
