"Reisænengården" (3 of 3)
Description
The complex's residence is a common house with a central corridor and kitchen on the left (as seen from the seaside), with a small room at the end of the hallway. A flight of stairs runs from the hallway up to the loft, which has a bedroom and room for storage. A door in the kitchen leads to the cattle-shed entrance, providing access from the residence to the outbuildings. The house is made of flat axed timber, and externally clad with horizontal, milled panelling, painted an ochre colour. Originally the roof was sod covered, but is now covered with roofing felt. A flower garden, enclosed by a picket fence, is located on the south wall of the house. Today the garden is dominated by Venus' chariot (Aconitum napellus), which has a bright blue colour when it blooms in the month of August/September.
