In order comply with all of the practical demands, a combination of reconstruction and annexing was carried out. The exterior of the warehouse Nybrygga was retained, while on the interior it was largely reconstructed, and the warehouse Storbrygga was positioned adjacent to it. These two warehouses were adjoined with a central structure. In terms of form and the exterior, Storbrygga retained the same style as the older buildings and was well-integrated with the milieu and cultural landscape.
