Description

The house has two and a half storeys, with a loft and cellar, and is situated on a high rendered foundation wall. The construction is of cog-jointed timbers, which are panelled. In style terms, the building belongs to the last phase of the Swiss style. The façade is severely symmetrical around a mid gable from which a roof projection covers a veranda over three floors. The veranda's dimensions give the house the appearance of a tourist hotel and disclose the building's function as overnight accommodation. The panelling divides the façade and the gable walls into several horizontal and vertical elements. The house is characterized by a stiff and sober Swiss style, with few carpentry details. The gable decorations consist of simple wooden scales.
