Description

The new primary school was constructed in 1983, and was designed by the architects firm Dalsbøe and Østgård. The building is an elongated volume which follows the sloping terrain. It is from one to two-stories high, with gradual composite lean-to roofs and large paned east facing windows. On the exterior, the building is characterised by plastered block/concrete which is painted a light yellow greyish colour, and red roof plating. The main entrances are marked with flat covers - almost like a baldachin - on the north and south end of the building. On the north end of the building, the gymnasium and the locker rooms tower above the building structure.
